Position: Lat: 80.30 South Long: 81:35 West Miles covered: 11 Total miles covered: 26 Air temperature: - 16 C Conditions: Complete whiteout, very poor visibility The team arrived safely and on schedule in Patriot Hills after travelling 11 miles over good snow with a steady uphill incline. They have climbed some 2500 feet in the first three days. All five team members are well and eager to depart Base Camp for the next leg of the journey. They have some blistered feet between them but these are manageable. Caroline's tooth is okay and Zoe's filling is going to stay in. More news is expected tomorrow. |
