Everyone in the team is well, still happy and still in very good humour. The conditions have been mixed - the lack of wind is very good, but the poor visibility makes navigation very difficult and they have been tied together for the past two days for safety. They anticipate that Sunday will be a long slow day in these conditions.
Once again they have managed a 14 mile day and 26 miles since the last report. Given the bad visibility this is very good going. Ice conditions have been pretty good, with good snow, very few sastrugi and fairly flat terrain (although it has been undulating at times).
Once again, Rosie's next installment was put on hold while the re-supply was discussed further. The team and their support team are trying to arrange this for just before Christmas and have been weighing up critical issues such as reserve fuel and food supplies. As everyone is now aware, the weather plays a huge part in the timing of every aspect and it is essential that the team have a big enough reserve to last out any bad weather that might spring up just when they want to be re-supplied. The most important part is fuel, for heating both the food and the tent.
