On Monday they covered 11 miles, encountering bigger sastrugi and lumpy ground - rather like walking on a cobbled street - there were strong headwinds giving a wind chill temperature of -40C (and we thought it was cold here in the UK!).
Tuesday was a good day with firmer ground and 13 miles covered.
Wednesday was even better. In spite of being exhausted they kept going and managed 14 miles.
They have 35 miles to go to the half way point!
Interest in the expedition is particularly keen at the moment -in addition to many radio interviews look out features in the Mail on Sunday (Boxing Day) and next Thursday's Femail magazine in the Daily Mail. The team are very excited that their
patron, HRH The Prince of Wales, is taking a personal call from them on Christmas Eve before he departs for Sandringham. He was also reported to be excited about receiving the call.
The BT Iridium telephone truly will come into its own light on Christmas Day when it will enable Caroline, Ann, Zoe, Pom and Rosie to make direct contact with their families.
An extraordinary, unique Christmas for the team is guaranteed - and we hope it's also a very happy one!
