Another day of very good progress was reported by Ann who managed to get all all necessary information across despite appalling reception.
The twelve miles covered began uphill and over soft snow. They came across their first really big sastrugi which they managed to get across and around comfortably. They then had a very welcome downhill stretch and encountered a few more large sastrugi, which are becoming an increasingly regular feature.
They are all still very happy and all 100% fit and well. As they close on the Pole morale is very good and they always have an
incredibly good sense of humour about everything (except of course, anything to do with the word 'uphill'). No more Firnstoss reported. In the interests of keeping up morale, news of the England cricket team, Leeds Utd and West Ham has been kept from the team, but they did enjoy hearing about Beckham's latest red card.
Rosie's next report, scheduled for early next week, will be entitled 'Thee Polar Beauty Parlour'
