The team are all fit and well and very excited as they enter the final miles of their journey to the South Pole. They have covered 37 miles since Tuesday, halving the remaining distance.

On Wednesday 19th Jauary they travelled 12 miles over mainly flat ice with small sastrugi. The temperature was -27 C and the windspeed 5 knots. Similarly, on Thursday they covered another 12 miles in identical temperatures with a wind of 4 knots. The ice conditions are now constant and they anticipate them to remain flat for the final miles.

Arrival is now scheduled, weather and injury permitting, for Monday or Tuesday of next week.
